‘The Witcher’ Season 3 to Film in Erfoud, Morocco

Rabat - After wrapping up production in South Wales, the Netflix series

“The Witcher” will head to Erfoud, Morocco this week to shoot scenes for its upcoming season 3,

the Witcher fansite Redanian Intelligence reported on July 2.

Erfoud is an oasis town in Morocco’s Sahara desert.

Known as the “Gate of the Sahara Desert,” the town is a popular tourist destination

and filming location thanks to its scenic sand dunes.

The country [Morocco] is a first for The Witcher, but in the past, it has accommodated

such productions as Star Wars, James Bond, [and] Game of Thrones,” said the fansite.

Several cinema producers and Hollywood film directors have chosen Morocco as a shooting location,
