This year's Eurovision song contest was a showcase to remember.
It was Eurovision in its purest form, celebrating music, creativity and human kindness.
Countries all over the continent showed solidarity with Ukraine following
And that support paid off in a big way for the Ukrainians, as they came out on top during the televised final.
But the ongoing conflict meant that, unlike in previous years,
this edition's winner will not host the next Eurovision Song Contest - but the UK could.
In a statement, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) said it shares Ukraine's "sadness and
disappointment" that the 2023 contest cannot be held there.
But it gave hope to Eurovision fans in the UK, as it admitted that talks with the BBC have been opened to have it in Britain.
