Suspect in shooting death of Atlanta rapper Trouble turns himself in
The man accused of shooting and killing Atlanta rapper Trouble turned himself in late Monday, according to authorities in Rockdale County.
Jamichael Jones, 33, of Atlanta, surrendered after providing his location to sheriff’s deputies
the Rockdale sheriff’s office told Channel 2 Action News.
His mother was instrumental in bringing him into custody, Sheriff Eric Levett said.
Earlier Monday, deputies visited places familiar to Jones, knocking on doors
and asking after his whereabouts, the sheriff told Channel 2.
One of those locations was his mother’s home.
Levett said Jones spoke to his mother by phone and shared his wish to surrender.
He was subsequently met by deputies in the parking lot of a Clayton County hospital and arrested, Channel 2 reported.
