Meghan Markle slammed by Republicans for wading into politics
The Duchess of Sussex, 40, hit out at the move by the US Supreme Court last week to
end constitutional protections for abortion by overturning the landmark Roe v Wade
ruling. Meghan urged people to make their voices heard by voting and hinted
she may travel to Washington DC to protest against the controversial decision.
But Republicans have blasted the Duchess, who is living in California with Prince Harry after quitting royal duties, over her intervention.
Republican Lisa McClain said: "This is just another attempt
from the ex-royals to insert their British drama in American politics.
"I don’t think anyone on this side of the pond cares for Meghan Markle’s opinion on killing babies.
However, I think her running for President would be a great episode for The Crown.
