Kenobi Makes 1 Leia Line In A New Hope Weirder

References to the prequel and original trilogies abound in Obi-Wan Kenobi,

but one scene in episode 4 of the show makes a Princess Leia line in the first Star Wars movie weirder.

Unlike A New Hope, which focuses more on the mentorship between Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi,

the latter's series centers on the friendship between Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor)

and young Leia (Vivien Lyra Blair) and how it started with him coming to her rescue at the request of Senator Bail Organa (Jimmy Smits).

Still, A New Hope already established Obi-Wan and Leia’s friendship,

as proven by her message "Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

You're my only hope," and Obi-Wan Kenobi manages to show

how this came to be, filling the gaps as far as what led Leia to rely so much on him.
