Johnny Depp denies he is in talks with Disney to reprise Pirates Of Caribbean's Jack Sparrow
Johnny Depp has denied reports he is in talks with Disney to reprise
his role as Jack Sparrow in the
Pirates of the Caribbean
franchise.
The 59-year-old actor has issued a statement to shut down rumours after Australian gossip
website Poptopic claimed Disney were working on a multi-million dollar deal to persuade
him to return as the comedy pirate he has played five times in the hit action adventure movies.
Depp's spokesperson told Fox News Digital he is not in talks to return as Jack Sparrow.
Disney is currently working on reviving the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise for a sixth film, starring Margot Robbie.
Depp has previously said: "If Disney came with $300 million and a million alpacas, nothing
on this earth would get me to go back and work with Disney on a
Pirates of the Caribbean
film."
