Ex-Eagles, Giants star goes off on Jack Del Rio ‘poking the racial bear’ before Commanders coordinator apologizes

Once again, the Washington Commanders are in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

But this time is had nothing to do with controversial owner

Daniel Snyder and the dysfunction within the team’s front office.

Nope, the headline stealer Wednesday was defensive

coordinator Jack Del Rio, who called the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol building a “dust-up.”

And that didn’t sit well with former New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Mitchell,

who wasn’t happy that Commanders head coach Ron Rivera wasn’t talking about what Del Rio had to say.

That’s according to the Washington Post’s Nicki Jhabvala,

who reported on Mitchell’s comments made during an appearance on 106.7 The Fan.
