Despite Negative Reception to House of the Dragon, HBO Working on Multiple GoT Spinoffs
Game of Thrones (GoT) which is based on George R.R. Martin’s
A Song of Ice and Fire
is still in demand.
With the merging of Warner Bros. Discovery, the new leadership will focus
more on the popular franchises while maintaining the trimming budgets wherever required.
HBO’s VP of Original Programming, Kara Buckley, spoke at ATX Television Festival this week.
While joining the panel titled “Futurescape: A Look at What’s Ahead in TV,”
Buckley explained when a question was asked about bringing more GoT related content to HBO.
She explained that finding the right spinoffs while the series is still in demand is “
tricky.”
We developed a lot of ideas, we were still developing a lot of ideas, and I think we’re
really excited about the one that will air later this summer.
