Brad Pitt's next golden era is here
The Hollywood icon is set to play an F1 driver in a film from the director of
Top Gun: Maverick
Tom Cruise dominating the box office, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez ruling the tabloids;
the year is 2022 and yet it feels like we've landed back in 2002.
The next Hollywood throwback on course to take over the big screen seems to be one Brad Pitt,
whose transport era is officially arriving with two speed-hungry films on the way.
Yesterday saw the release of a new trailer for
Bullet Train,
the slightly absurdist and very high octane blockbuster which stars, to name a few,
Sandra Bullock, Zazie Beetz, Brian Tyree Henry, Hiroyuki Sanada, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Joey King and Michael Shannon.
In it Pitt plays Ladybug, a dejected and hapless hitman who, on boarding the bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto
soon discovers he's competing with assassins who all have eyes on the same bloody prize.
