‘Greenland’ Movie Storyline
The story follows, John Garrity, his estranged wife and their young son, embark on a perilous journey to find sanctuary as a planet-killing comet hurtles toward Earth.
Amid terrifying accounts of cities getting levelled, the Garrity’s experience the best and worst in humanity.
As the countdown to the global apocalypse approaches zero, their incredible trek culminates in a desperate and last-minute flight to a possible safe haven.

‘Greenland’ Movie Release date
Originally scheduled to be theatrically released on June 12, 2020 in the United States, Greenland was delayed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Then the film was scheduled to be released domestically by STX Entertainment through video on demand on December 18, 2020. It was still released theatrically in other territories, beginning with Belgium on July 29, 2020.
‘Greenland’ Movie Streaming
Gerard Butler’s action film Greenland, which we first told you was jumping from a theatrical release during the pandemic to PVOD and eventually HBO and HBO Max.
It was become available in homes on Dec. 18 at the price of $19.99 for a 48-hour rental period.
The film has been playing in theaters internationally, and has thus far made $45 million from ticket sales, but that will not be the strategy for the movie in North America.
“Greenland” joined a long list of movies to head straight to premiered video-on-demand amid the coronavirus crisis.
As announced, Pixar’s animated adventure “Soul” was launching directly on Disney Plus and Robert Zemeckis’ adaptation of “The Witches” was eschewing the big screen in favor of HBO Max.
